Ch-ch-ch-changes
It's official — I'm leaving my current job at Voltage Security at the end of this month, and joining an early stage Y Combinator funded startup!
I've been thinking about a move (both career-wise and location-wise) for the last couple of months. When I handed in my notice at Voltage, I hadn't really planned my next move. My original thought was that I could travel around Europe and Asia for a little while before returning to the working world.
That's when a couple of guys approached me about joining them in a venture. They're a couple of incredibly intelligent guys — and more importantly, we clicked as soon as we met — so I happily put my travel plans on hold and joined them.
This means a few big things for me...
- I'm officially a part of the Winter '10 class of Y Combinator. I'm a YC fanboy, so this is like a dream come true.
- I'm moving to San Francisco in February. I've talked about moving to the city for years, so this is also like a dream come true.
- I won't be attending PyCon, SXSW, or really anywhere else, at least for the next three months. Sadness.
I can't talk much about the startup yet, but we'll have a beta in March, so watch for us!
